| ボルドーの生まれ。生物学に関心を示す。 ルドンは印象派の画家たちと、同じ世代である。しかし、印象派の感覚的であるだけの世界に不満を持っていた。 ルドンは、もっと、想像力を大切にしたかったし、独自のイメージを創り上げていきたかった。 印象派の色彩表現に、惹かれながらも、あえて、白黒の版画を利用し、想像力を磨いた。ルドンが色を使い出したのは、５０歳を過ぎてからである。 |
